Sunshine

I was lucky enough to be nominated for the Sunshine award by Rose from Secondhand Rose. For anyone who hasn't heard of the Sunshine award it is an accolade awarded to "bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere". Thank you very much, it's nice to think that some other bloggers are finding something interesting or useful in my rambling posts! The award comes with several rules that the winner must follow, these are:
  • Thank the person who gave the award and write a post about it.
  •  Answer the questions below.
  • Pass on the award to 10 bloggers that you like, link their blogs and let them know you awarded them.
I am quite indecisive so not entirely sure I'll be able to come up with just one answer for some of these!

Favourite colour
Hmmm it's tricky trying to pin in down to one colour, I'm going to say mainly greens and blues!

Favourite animal
Cats!

Favourite number
19 - it has a special significance for me, although if you ask me this question next week I might come out with a totally different answer!

Favourite drink
For summer;  ginger beer with a slice of lime and ice to be enjoyed while sitting in a sunny garden under the parasol.
For winter; proper hot chocolate in my favourite mug to be sipped while curled up in the armchair next to the fire watching Wallander (Swedish version!) or reading.

Facebook or Twitter
Neither interest me very much although I do have a Pinterest account!

Your passion
Gardening, our cottage, old things, our cats...

Giving or receiving presents
Although I'd be lying if I said I didn't like receiving presents, the feeling of giving someone something that you've either made or put a lot of thought into is priceless!

Favourite day
Saturday, although I do like Friday evening after work when the promise of the weekend spread out before me!

Favourite flowers
I love Lilly of the Valley, they make such pretty posies. But I also really like the "old" roses, stocks, delphiniums, foxgloves, lavender, cow parsley...

Nominated blogs:
Charlotte's Plot
Really inspiring garden posts, Bristolian culture and rose jam!

The Hill House Diaries
Life in a Georgian country house!
Hellish Designs
Gorgeous cushions and lampshades.
The Paper Mulberry
A wonderful blog charting the restoration of a beautiful old farmhouse, great interior inspiration as well.
The Quince Tree
Delicious cooking and an astoundingly organised freezer.
Tamara Fogle
Amazing bags and great photo journal from Paris to Pasadena.
Of Spring and Summer
Exquisite photography and wonderful colours, always fresh and interesting.
Sweet Juniper
Absolutely the most inspiring blog, lawyer turned stay-at-home dad records the highs and lows of parenthood (as well as the construction of knight armour and various fairy costumes!)
Posy gets Cosy
Crafting, cooking and log cabin holidays.

  1. You're welcome!
It's quite hard to answer some of those questions isn't it? And even harder to choose blogs to nominate when there are so many enjoyable ones...
Just off to visit your nominations :o)
    Hope the rain keeps off.
