Too busy to blog!

I've been a bad blogger lately, what with work, the cottage, garden and kittens, plus cooking and cleaning etc I had convinced myself that I just did not have time to do a post. Well, I think it's more of a case of not making time! But I have been duly chastised with the loss of a few of my followers! Hopefully I will be a more diligent blogger from now on, since I am nearing the 100 follower mark I am also preparing a little giveaway which I will post about once I reach the magic number...
As you can see Holly has been up to mischief, I have had to relocate my ivy plant to a higher position so that Holly can no longer play with it and potentially eat the poisonous leaves! She seems intent on losing at least one of her nine lives!
On the other hand, Ivy has been a lot more relaxed. So relaxed in fact, that we managed to snap this photo of her after completing her daily washing routine when she had forgotten to put her tongue back in her mouth!
The garden has been very productive recently. I have just finished our summer potato crop of Winston potatoes with ivory flesh and soft paper skin - they were delicious! We are currently enjoying blueberries and I'm hoping the figs on our tree will soon be ready as well.
We're visiting Ardingly on Tuesday so will hopefully post photos of any goodies we find later on in the week! Have a good July!

  2. Hi Charlotte,
I am a very inconsistant blogger so I completely understand that there are only so many hours in a day and anyway it always makes it a special treat to read your latest post. Holly looks so playful and cheeky and you caught Ivy at just the right moment, she looks impossibly cute!
    Have a lovely weekend. x

  4. Lovely, lovely kittens, wish mine were still like that, we adopted a stray and she produced 4 kittens that we could not bear to part with. I would love for them to go back, they are 3 yrs now.

  7. Ivy looks exactly like one of our kittens http://railwaycottage.blogspot.com/2009/12/our-cats.html

I don't think it matters that you post only occasionally, as long as it is interesting and it's nice if you respond to comments occasionally too.

    Hi Kath,

Yes, Ivy and Spider look very similar! I can definitely vouch for the satisfaction of having a lap-cat, Ivy is especially dedicated and even sticks out the noise of the sewing machine!
