Blind business!

After a weekend spent on the sewing machine (which involved more unpicking than I'd care to admit!) I have finished the Roman blinds for the bedrooms.

I used the fabric that I posted about here and because I had quite a bit I decided to use it in both rooms. The fabric was previously a pair of curtains so it was no easy job converting them into blinds.
The finished articles are perhaps not as crisp and precise as a professional would have done them, but I like to think that their rustic-ness just adds to the charm! I also have some fabric left over, seat cushions for the dining room perhaps?

  2. Great job Charlotte, I agree "rustic-ness" is much nicer than crisp and precise...far more in keeping with your old cottage.

  3. Charlotte those blinds look gorgeous. I have never attempted Roman blinds as I have heard how difficult they are to make. I think when you make something yourself it gives you such a sense of satisfaction.
