Last year

They say you shouldn't spend your life looking back at the past, but I think this "in-between" time just before the end of the old year and the beginning of the new lends itself to a little reflection. To stop and take stock of the year before it slips through my fingers. So I've put a few photos together as a little recap for myself of 2012 to savour last year before I begin to look forward to 2013, which already feels ripe with possibilities!
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

  18. just looking through some of your posts again and stopped on this one. I would love a recipe for the yule log cake. I remember having those when I lived there. All that chocolate. The Victoria Sponge looks yummy too. I never make those anymore either. Real cream inside and preserves. Yum
