A Festive Fireplace

I've finally got round to putting up the garland on the mantelpiece - I'm quite pleased I've managed to get it to stay put! I'm sure there's probably a clever way of doing it that I'm totally oblivious to, but I'm pleased with the end result.
I potted these Paperwhite narcissi bulbs up in November - I did have them out in the shed but they weren't doing too well and during the cold snap got frozen into the pot! So I brought them inside and kept them in the loft which seems to have done the trick, just need to get some moss from somewhere to cover up the soil - hopefully we'll have some blooms in time for Christmas!

We've had another dusting of snow down here in London, and it's not been much above -3 degrees most of the day brrr! So time to cosy up next to the fire and wish you all in advance a very merry Christmas!

Love your fireplace. The garland is just right. It looks like fresh eucalyptus. What a pretty bowl to plant paperwhites in! I hope they bloom in time for Christmas Day.

    Merry Christmas to you too.
